My research focus es on mathematical modeling and data science applied to engineering and l ife sciences. I collaborate with many colleagues across campus, nationally and internationally in areas such as ocular blood flow and risk factors associated with ocular diseases; noninvasive health monitoring; and plant physiology. My research has been funded by the National Science Foundation , the National Institute of Health and the European Commission . I am a member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts and I serve on the Editorial Boards of Scientific Reports (Springer, Nature) and Mathematical Biosciences and Engineering (AIMSPress) I am a co-founder of Modeling and Artificial Intelligence in Ophthalmology (Kugler Publications, the Netherlands), an international, peer-reviewed, interdisciplinary journal for which I serve as co-Editor-in-Chief and Managing Editor. I am the founder of Gspace LLC , a consulting company providing modeling and computational solutions for complex problems engineering and life sciences. Before joining Mizzou in 2017, Guidoboni served on the faculty of the Houston (TX, USA), Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis (IN, USA) and the Université de Strasbourg (France). Recent Highlights [10/2022] Guidoboni authors an editorial in SIAM News about her adventure at the crossroads of engineering, mathematics, academia, consulting and more Children are often asked, What would you like to do when you grow up?” Personally, I hope that I will never stop growing and will be able to do many different things throughout my life. The notion that I had to choose only one career always bothered me. [04/2022] Guidoboni elected a Member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts The European Academy of Sciences and Arts brings together leaders in medicine, technical and environmental sciences, natural sciences, social sciences, law, economics, arts and humanities. The organization has roughly 2,000 members, including 35 Nobel Prize winners, mostly from Europe.
